Meet the Provider

Julia Belova-Ross, PMHNP-BC

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in consult-liaison psychiatry, caring for individuals hospitalized with mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, substance use disorders, and psychotic disorders. Before becoming a PMHNP, I spent over 12 years in clinical care as a critical care nurse working within complex medical and trauma environments—experience that deeply shapes how I practice today. My background has taught me that mental health does not exist separately from the body. True wellness requires understanding the whole person—their biology, lived experiences, emotional patterns, trauma, and the environment they live in. This understanding guides my approach, which blends functional psychiatry with evidence-based medication management. I believe in looking beyond the diagnosis to uncover the root contributors to distress. Biological, hormonal, environmental, and psychosocial factors can all play an important role and deserve to be addressed thoughtfully. Although I do not currently provide long-term psychotherapy, I incorporate supportive therapy, as well as elements of CBT and DBT, into each appointment. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, regulate your nervous system, and move toward a meaningful, healthy, and joyful life. I operate a small, intentionally limited practice with no additional staff. This allows me to address all patient questions, concerns, and communication directly—without intermediaries. My goal is to provide highly personalized care, ensuring you have direct access to your provider between appointments and a therapeutic relationship that feels consistent, responsive, and truly supportive.
